Responsibilities
Serve as an integral team member on client engagements
• Develop business plans
• Create investor presentations and information memorandums
• Create operational models and projections
• Create full financial and valuation models
• Interface with client executives
• Collect, organize and analyze client data
• Manage project calendars and task lists
Become a media & entertainment industry expert
• Identify, monitor and interact with companies of potential interest to the firm
• Conduct industry research
Support business development
• Help generate business development ideas and target potential clients
• Develop “pitch books†and marketing materials
• Assess potential new business development opportunities
Required Skills
• Strong writing and presentation skills (attention to content, grammar and presentation)
• Strong quantitative skills (being comfortable rapidly building standalone and pro forma models from scratch, including P&Ls, cash flows, and revenue and expense forecasts)
• Able to handle multiple projects and teams
• Detail-oriented and able to deliver quality finished products
• Willing/able to travel as needed
Preferred Background
• 2-3 years work experience in at least one of the following areas
- Strategy consulting (preferably with exposure to media or technology clients)
- Investment banking (preferably with exposure to media or technology transactions)
- Venture capital or private equity (preferably with exposure to media or technology transactions)
- Entertainment or media company (preferably in a strategic planning role)
• 1 year experience in mergers & acquisitions
• Intrigued and curious about the trends in the broad media industries, not just their products
• Able to think creatively about new products and their operational requirements
Compensation
• Compensation will be competitive and in accordance with investment banking standards
