Berry College, located in Rome, GA, seeks an interactive and social media specialist. This entry to mid-level position, reporting to the director of e-communications, is responsible for PROACTIVELY planning and producing video, multi-media and social web projects as they relate to college marketing and communications efforts. This person schedules and oversees video shoots and the resulting video assets library. They create and maintain web-based video and interactive applications as needed centered primarily on Adobe Flash technology. This position is also responsible for the streaming of audio and video events on campus. The social media aspects of this position require that he/she create a working plan to use social web applications in building community among constituents of Berry and to effectively promote the college through these channels to high-school students. This person builds and maintains group and community information within communities such as Facebook and Myspace for the college.
