Our client is looking for an Internet Systems Engineer/Webmaster Lead with a solid operational background in a well known internet based firm. The Internet Systems Engineer/Webmaster Lead will be a highly visible position with significant influence on the operations of their websites. This individual will be involved in high profile projects that have a direct impact on the company's revenue as the company is rapidly moving towards a self service client architecture which creates an increased dependency on the availability and reliability of their sites. Â
As the Webmaster Lead, this individual will be responsible for structuring the webmaster team, providing task assignments, project status updates and team organization. As an engineer, this individual will be responsible for developing and supporting the continued growth of the company's internal and external revenue generating web applications. The Internet Systems Engineer/Webmaster Lead will be responsible for delivering efficient and robust solutions in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be able to clearly articulate internet and intranet related projects and will act as a consultant and subject matter expert for everything related to the company's internet and intranet.Â
 Position Requirements: Responsible for clearly articulating internet and intranet related projects Manage, administer, and maintain all internet and intranet sites with 24/7 availability Provide a vision for management and monitoring of websites Establish robust architecture for future web infrastructure improvements  Maintain internet and intranet sites for high availability (IIS and Apache) Work with other technical leads (Network, Server and DBA) to improve the operations of the IT department Interface with different departments within the organization regarding new deployments Act as point liaison with the IT Operations, QA, and Engineering teams when deploying new sites and applications Develop, maintain, and report website metrics Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of hardware and software solutions Analyze hardware and software needs to resolve problems in the most efficient and timely manner Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree Must have experience in website operations at a well known internet based firm (Google, Yahoo, Amazon, Ask, etc.) Must have experience in building and managing a team of individuals who are responsible for the maintenance of websites that are the primary source of company revenue Must have experience in best practices for web site operation and Sarbanes Oxley compliance Must be a strong communicator that can clearly articulate questions and issues as they relate to the operation of our sites to all types of audiences (technical, business) Proven ability to analyze web traffic patterns using web tools and application monitoring products 5+ years experience with IIS 3+ years Experience in Windows System Administration and Active Directory. 3+ years front-end integration experience working with development teams on the deployment of web based applications (Java, ASP, ASP.NET) Project management experience with strong organization and planning skills Strong problem solving ability Proven understanding of web encryption technologies (SSL Certificates, https, etc.)  Strong experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle) Experience working with third party hosting companies Experience forming and meeting service level agreements (SLAs) which guarantee clients website availability E-Commerce experience desired Â
