We are seeking sharp, driven QA Engineers with experience testing custom software in a distributed systems environment.
Panther performs extensive white box testing; therefore, the role requires fundamental Java skills as the position requires the development of custom testing harnesses while augmenting existing test suites on a programmatic level.

Responsibilities
* Participate in the entire development lifecycle from design and testing to troubleshooting
* Development of new and updated test plans for Panther's systems - both component and end to end testing.
* Coding of test harnesses in Java
* Defect management of complex and distributed software
* Solving complex issues related to various components of our infrastructure
* Maintaining and operate our global infrastructure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Requirements
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Experience developing and augmenting test harnesses in Java
* Strong ability to troubleshoot software problems
* Solid Linux administrative experience
* 4 years of software development experience in a high-tech environment
* Knowledge of shell scripting, and command line tools
* Strong knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol
* Distributed systems experience
* Detailed understanding of DNS and HTTP
Bonuses
* Network engineering experience - router configuration, IP tables, BGP
* Linux kernel skills a plus
* Solid SQL experience (mySQL preferred)
