A&E Television Networks/New York, NYSenior Web Producer
POSITION SUMMARY:
Senior Producer position will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of large-scale History.com projects and initiatives. This will include project planning, creating project requirements, setting schedules, communicating with various departments and external vendors, as well as constant collaboration with other members in the production team.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Work closely with Site Manager and IT PM's in defining project schedule, business requirements and content goals to ensure that projects produced are of quality and completed on time/budget and to spec.
• Project planning, scheduling and tracking of project development and working on the acquisition of needed resources, when appropriate.
• Work with Site Manager to estimate project budget and accurately track changes in budget throughout project life cycle, informing clients of any changes – budgetary, scope, and/or timing.
• Work within Interwoven's Team Site CMS tool and offer suggestions/recommendations on workflow and development processes.
• Ability to collaborate with and lead a team of producers, designers and developers on multiple projects.
• Communicate with various departments (including Ad Sales, On-Air Programming, Marketing,IT, Analytics, PR) and external vendors in a senior role, manages expectations and
clearly communicates/defends/presents project ideas and goals
• Oversee product development, from conception to establishing technical/functional specs and liaising with IT or vendors to convey business requirements and content/production goals.
• Initiates new projects
• Does competitive market analysis and applies industry learning to projects
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organization and communication skills and ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities under pressure.
• Minimum of 4 years overall relevant experience in the industry.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS is greatly preferred.
• Self-managed proactive work style.
• Experience managing external resources.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to independently prioritize multiple projects are essential.
• Knowledge of Information Architecture and User Interface Design
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
• Strong presentation skills
• Proven project management skills and successful track record in taking projects from concept to completion and implement post-launch maintenance.
• Ability to multi-task a must
• Adaptable, agile and competent in a high-stress and high-pressure environment
• Knowledge and experience of CMS (Interwoven/Teamsite)
• Sense of humor, creativity, and interest in television, new media and history is preferred.
