Silicon Alley Insider is a new business site, produced by and for the New York digital business community. Silicon Alley Insider was started in the summer of 2007 by Kevin Ryan, Dwight Merriman, and Henry Blodget. We're also joined by Peter Kafka and Dan Frommer from Forbes and recently joined by Michael Learmonth from Variety.
We cover the intersection of the technology, media, and communications industries, with a focus on companies and people making waves in New York. Specifically, we provide news, commentary, and discussion about digital publishing, entertainment, news, music, social networking, mobile, and gaming.
We currently have need for a web designer/developer. Responsibilities include overall management of several sites from a technical and graphic design perspective, server and client side software development, and html/CSS/image production for the sites.
Requirements:
• Expertise in Javascript, AJAX, object oriented programming
• Expertise with HTML and CSS
• Familiarity with HTTP, DNS, security
• Graphic design and user interface experience
• Experience with version control tools
